Great location and atmosphere. Unfortunately, my lamb came out cold but still edible with lamb acceptable hot or cold. Gnocci is a must try. Completely house made and portion is perfect. Service a little rushed but grateful we were given a table with no booking. Extensive selection of wines to compliment each dish. Expensive but worth a try.
My family and I had dinner at Pony and we had high expectations of the food. The steak tasted divine and very tender ,the brisket however was too fatty for our liking and the wood-fire flavor was little to non-existent on all the dishes we ordered. The salad was less the average and the dressing tasted bitter. The pumpkin did not taste freshly made and was barely touched. Finally, the kids meals tasted disappointing with the steak being okay. And the pasta tasted bland. Overall, wouldn’t revisit as the restaurant didn’t have anything special given the price point.
The brisket, spicy cocktail, smoked pineapple, and roasted macademia dessert were some of the most creative, tasty and unique food I have tried. It had the smashability factor while being reasonably priced.
Will go again :)
The place have great setting and the open kitchen really add some class to it. Food is average and a little overpriced in my opinion. The mocktail Mojito is one of the best mocktail that I had. Oysters, tuna and the fish of the day(barramundi) are fresh and well cooked. The octopus is very tasty and among my favourite, the steak is a little too chewy in my opinion. The sausage has very special sauce and I would recommend for newcomers to try. Vegetables and pasta taste ordinary with no surprises. One thing is that the waitstaff keep coming(more than once) and ask us if we are finish with our dishes(there are still food on the plates) which is a bit annoying and we feel like we are constantly under pressure. They can only give you a dessert menu once everyone finish their main which is a bit inconsiderate. Overall I don’t think the experience is worth the price.
The was one waiter with red hair was very rude on service, we didnt even get one smile or hi how are you? Even we spent $450 for 3 people they still rush us to finish quickly. Thats why I didnt leave tip
Olives was very bad, $90 a steak or $35 chewy octopus, I dont know. Food was average but prices was high cos of location I think.
Only kangaroo was good.
This was such an amazing restaurant with very good dishes. We really enjoyed trying their special kangaroo skewers, the meat was unbelievably tender and juicy. The sauce was so flavourful and the berries were a nice touch. I also liked theor preparation of the Sydney rock oysters in the ginger sauce, it was very fresh.
The atmosphere was great, we sat outdoors as they had heated lamps and it was very relaxing. The service was superb and the ladies made sure we were loving the whole experience. We wanted to come back again for dinner but just didn’t have time.
Went with my friend and had kangaroo skewers, filet and fish and so amazing. Every dish was so tasty and service was also so kind and nice. Smokey pineapple cocktail and kiwi one was so yummy. Price was reasonable too. Highly recommended for nice dinner👍
Excellent and creative food in a special atmosphere, the service was also really good! I recommend the grilled pineapple with coconut sorbet as dessert, it was awesome!
